New Zealand Journal of Asian Studies
 

The New Zealand Journal of Asian Studies is peer reviewed and published twice a year, in June and December. It contains mainly academic research articles but also has book reviews, essays and short stories. Content comes from contributors both within and outside New Zealand. The Journal covers a variety of Asian topics - some major fields are economic development, business, government and politics, religion, culture, music, and media.

 


The New Zealand Journal of Asian Studies is the official journal of the New Zealand Asian Studies Society (NZASIA). NZASIA is the main professional organization of tertiary Asian Studies scholars in New Zealand. The Society of is a wholly independent body that since its establishment in 1974 has sought to encourage the spread of knowledge about Asia, its history, its culture and its role in international affairs. The society is governed by senior Asian-Studies scholars from New Zealand Universities. The Society runs conferences, grants research scholarships, and publishes. The Society publishes a newsletter, occasional publications, and a journal -- The New Zealand Journal of Asian Studies.
